Antarctica: Gibbs Island

Recorded February 20, 2009. Gibbs Island is a small island off the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. It's only about ten miles long, two miles wide at the widest, and 1500 feet high. It's only a few miles from Elephant Island that we had been sailing around for most of the day. In this video we circumnavigate beautiful Gibbs Island. There were several spectacular glaciers coming down the mountains and joining the sea. At the end of the video I capture an albatross in flight and a whale. From: timvp.com
