KETC | Living St. Louis | Depression Glass






From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Patrick Murphy visits an annual exhibition held by the Gateway Depressioneers Glass Club. More than 30 years ago, local women formed the club because they wanted to learn about the glassware they inherited from the Depression period. They also were searching for some of the missing pieces to complete their sets.

The Elara (Hilton Grand Vacation Club). As of the beginning of May 2012, this hotel changed ownership from PH Towers to Elara. It is a great option for those planning a long stay in Vegas as the rooms were originally intended to be condos. The room was spacious, contemporary, and nicely appointed. I really loved having a nicely sized kitchen area with a full sized refigerator at my dispose. The refrigerator was empty upon arrival...Which I appreciated. The hotel did not put any "mini bar" items inside of it, and I could fill it up with what I wished. No risk of having to pay high dollar for a snack or beverage...I like that! It was great that the hotel included pots, pans, utensils, dishes & glassware in the room. There was also a toaster, blender, & regular sized coffee pot. Such a great room if you want to save some money & do some meals in. There are a few bonus features too! One: In the bathroom there is a washer/dryer. Two: Projector TV This room was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed our stay immensely!!! A few things to mention....It is a non smoking, non gaming, and non strip hotel. However, the hotel is connected to Planet Hollywood Casino/Hotel via a walkway called the Miracle Mile, so it's totally not a big deal. Only a few minute walk thru the shops & restaurants and BINGO....You are at Planet Hollywood Casino (which is on the strip). Finally, parking is convenient. You have your choice of valet or self park. We did the self park. We parked on level 3, which ...
