Work got underway today to remove more than one hundred kilometres of electricity pylons from the Cairngorms National Park. The line of pylons is being removed to allow for the construction of the controversial Beauly to Denny power line. In other news; Now, as the first snow of the winter falls in Scotland, fears have been raised for road clearance in Aberdeenshire. Farmers are disgruntled at the rates being offered by the local authority to keep the side route. And in sport; Aberdeen are up to seventh in the SPL, after beating Dundee United at Pittodrie for the first time in over three years. United have now won just ONE of their last NINE SPL games.
