They have to safe the venom to hunt prey, as we are not prey they have no reason to hurt us, if they dont really must. If you leave snakes alone they dont bite you... if you try to catch a snake or to kill it, the snake will defend it self and bite you also with venom... When people get bitten by snakes it is their own fail...
