A thermometer is no match for a 1W blue laser and explodes within seconds of being exposed to the beam. I get a lot of questions asking how "hot" a laser is, so here's why you can't measure it. (Blatantly disregarding that heat and power are completely different units...) I built the blue laser in this video.
