UC Riverside Professor of Entomology Alexander Raikhel on his research on mosquitos, the growth of biological sciences at UCR, and the significance of the UCR Institute for Integrative Genomics Biology. Professor Raikhel, was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) for his excellence in original scientific research in May 2009.
