Jam Night at the Ottawa Jazz Festival 2003. The music was frenetic, but the lighting makes this photo look like it was a bluesy, moody number.
This is Hassan Hakmoun on the sintar and vocal and Paul Tchunga, percussion. And yes, that instrument has only one string.
