Ladybird on the beach

The children and I visited Gibraltar Point, Lincs, and spent most of the day on the near-deserted beach. This ladybird was scrambling in the sand dunes close to where we set up base.

I took this shot on one of my favorite places on Jeckyll Island, Driftwood Beach. It is covered by the remains of many trees, which have been preserved by the salt air and water from the ocean. Hit 'L' to view large on black
