Sunday flowers 3
It occurred to me recently that to the best of my knowledge, I had perfect church attendance throughout the year 2005, in that I made it to every one of the regular Sunday meetings in our ward. While walking home from church on this particular Sunday afternoon, I received what I regarded as one of the minor blessings of faithful church attendance, in that I passed these flowers growing next to the sidewalk and decided to come back with my camera to photograph them. (I realize I could have just as easily slept in, stayed home from church, and then gone for a walk and seen these same flowers, but I prefer not to look at it that way; the flowers, after all, were created by God and only seen and photographed by me.)After I changed my clothes, I made two trips back to the spot, the second one being necessary because I found a dust spot on the sensor of my Nikon D50 and returned home to clean it, after which I went back and took some more pictures.
This was taken at a shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second, because it was quite breezy at the time and the flowers were swaying back and forth in the wind.
Once again, if anyone can identify these flowers, please speak up. I assume they are some kind of daisy. Is this a gerbera?
